Little Free Library
$295.00 – $345.00
What’s better than books? FREE BOOKS! What do you get the person that has everything? A LITTLE FREE LIBRARY. It’s the gift that keeps giving!
We had the honor of building 25 Little Free Libraries for a local grant project, each of which was painted by a local artist and then placed in ‘book deserts’ around our community. Since then, we’ve received an overwhelming number of requests for more. So we’ve made another batch and if you ask us, they make the perfect holiday gifts!
Libraries are constructed from oak (body) and pine (door), with self closing hinges and magnetic door catch.
Suggestions for Finishing: For unfinished libraries, we suggest a coat of primer, followed by exterior paint, finished with an exterior clear coat (polycrylic, shellac, varnish) for best weather protection.
Suggestions for Mounting: A mounting post can be requested and purchased separately for $40 (please make a request on your order). Mounting posts are 5′ long and we recommend sinking it in the ground 2′, which keeps it sturdy and places it at the perfect height for young readers to access.
