Tots, Tykes, & Tools (All Genders)
March 29, 2021
The Dapper Hammer
There’s no age too young to begin working with tools. In fact, the littles are some of my favorite kiddos to work with!
This class introduces the little ones to basic hand tools and allows them the time and space to become familiar with how tools feel in their hands, what they do, and how empowering it can feel to drive a screw in or hammer a nail all the way in!
Kiddos will learn the difference between a hammer and a screwdriver, gain hands-on practice with each, and then create their own design/drawing accented with nails and screws to their heart’s content!
Date: March 29, 2021
Who: Kiddos ages 2-5 (but we’re not checking birth certificates here 😉)
*A Dapper Hammer scholarship fund is available to young womxn, LGBTQIA+ youth, & Black, Indigenous, and People of Color for Dapper Hammer classes, lessons, and workshops. Please contact us to request scholarship funds.
Please plan to stay with your child for the duration of the class. You are invited to work alongside them, or watch through the windows from the room next door. There’s nothing cuter than watching tiny humans work with tiny tools!
Classes are held at The Dapper Hammer Workshop, which is a large, open, well ventilated space. All adults and kids (as able) are asked to wear a mask at all times. Kiddos will be set up at their own workspace spaced at least 6ft from others and will use an individual set of sanitized tools (provided).
