Family/Learning Pod Workshop

Event Date:

March 30, 2021

Event Time:

10:00 am

Event Location:

The Dapper Hammer

Spring is around the corner and at The Dapper Hammer, that means yard games! Bring your family or learning pod and we’ll make a giant yard-sized Jenga game for you to take home and enjoy all summer. Already have backyard Jenga? Then let’s make Yard Yahtzee or Giant Farkle to add to your lawn game collection!

This class is a fun introduction to measuring, marking, cutting with the miter saw (a crowd favorite!), sanding, and we even save room for some art! Who doesn’t love personalized Jenga blocks!

Each family/pod member will have a chance to learn and use all the tools – and we’ve found that in some groups each participant takes ownership of their own blocks and other groups will divide and conquer, with some being the “cutters” others working the sanders and finally an artist or two making everything beautiful. This is a great class to explore group work as everyone contributes to a final project to take home and enjoy together!
